Introduction
DO
YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE THE ROAR OF THE GREASEPAINT AND THE SMELL OF THE
CROWD!!
We are an amateur drama
group who
perform twice a year in Saxmundham. We meet for rehearsals
each
week on a Wednesday evening in our new studio in Middleton from 7.30pm for
about two hours. With a mixture of
ages and
backgrounds, the common bond is a desire to work together and produce
quality stage shows.
We are a small but
committed group, and would like to hear from anyone who is
interested in getting involved in any way.
We are
looking for more people to come along and join us, both to help behind
the scenes and to take active parts in our productions.
If you have secretly
harboured an ambition to perform, there
isn't a better time to join us and get involved.

Next Production
Our next production will be FlatSpin by Alan
Ayckbourn.
We shall be performing this on Friday and Saturday, 27th and
28th
June 2008 in the Market Hall, Saxmundham. Tickets, price
£7.00
(£6.00 concessions on Friday night only), are now on sale
from H G Crisp, High Street, Saxmundham, or from
members of the company; tickets will also be available on the
door each evening.
A night of romance in her luxurious riverside apartment with
the
good-looking stranger from next door. How can Joanna possibly
go
wrong? Except the flat isn't hers, her name isn't Joanna and
heaven knows what the good-looking stranger is really after.
Instead of romance comes considerable danger...
The heroine of this second of Ayckbourn's Damsels in Distress
trilogy is Rosie, a young acresss. Watering the plants in a
strange Docklands apartment, it should be the day of her big break into
television, but a last-minute rejection leaves her bewildered and
feeling unwanted. With the arrival of the handsome neighbour
Rosie assumes the role of inhabitant, only to find that
nothing is what
is seems and her only way out is to play the role to the end.
